There are several reasons as to why this could happen:
- In Battery-mode, WiFi will be deactivated in this state. Remove the batteries and only use the power adapter. Re-Check if the Feeder can be paired as well
- Your WiFi signal may be weak at that time. Move the feeder closer to the router and try again.
- While pairing, please check to make sure the "No Password" portion is unchecked if your router has one.
- Please check to make sure the 2.4G network is chosen
- If you do not have one explicitly shown, a lot of routers are dual banded to have both 5G and 2.4G
